Police ID N.C. man killed Friday in Hanover crash
Source: Richmond Times-Dispatch, Va.儲存Sept. 28--State police today identified the person who died in a three-vehicle crash Friday on Interstate 295 in Hanover County as Bobby G. Hadaway, 76, of Leland, N.C.The incident occurred just before 2:30 p.m. when an SUV, which Hadaway had been driving, was disabled on the left shoulder with a flat left rear tire, police said.A driver for AAA had positioned his service truck behind the SUV with his emergency equipment activated. Hadaway was outside the vehicle.Police said the driver of a sedan ran off the left side of the road, striking the AAA service truck and the SUV. The sedan's impact with the AAA truck caused the truck to strike Hadaway, who was outside his car. Hadaway died at theself storagescene.Hadaway's wife, Carolyn H. Hadaway, 71, who had been traveling with him, and the AAA driver were also outside of their vehicles. Mrs Hadaway suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Memorial Regional Hospital, police said. The AAA driver was not injured.The driver of the sedan suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was flown to VCU Medical Center.
