Source: Tulsa World, Okla.迷你倉Jan. 27--Gilton powers Trojans: Jenks sophomore Isaac Gilton showed his potential with breakout performances last week as he had 16 points against NOAH on Tuesday and 18, all in the second half, against Edison on Saturday.Gilton is a 6-foot-6 forward who is three inches taller than anyone else for Jenks (8-5), which often uses a four-guard lineup."Isaac's upside is huge," Jenks coach Clay Martin said. "He's really gaining confidence and our guards are really doing a good job of getting him the ball where he can score. He's still raw and going to do nothing but get better. I'm really pleased with the way he's playing. He's a big man with great hands. As guard-heavy as we are, he gives us a little size, a little length, which we are lacking this year. He can really help us on both ends of the court."He's a true gentleman, so sometimes we're on him to get a little bit meaner on the court, and he's a fabulous student."Gilton, who made 6-of-7 free throws against Edison, enjoys watching Duke play on television."I like the way they share the ball," Gilton said.Tough loss for Dutch: Holland Hall lost 46-44 to Irving (Texas) Cistercian in a Southwest Preparatory Conference game Saturday after erasing a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter. After Holland Hall's Pierce Brady made two free throws to forge a 44-44 tie, Christ迷你倉沙田pher Wainerdi made the two winning free throws with 52 seconds remaining. Brady led Holland Hall with 13 points."We waited too long to play," Holland Hall coach Brandon Maddux said. "It's one we needed to have and we didn't show up to play. They were tougher than us physically and mentally, and they executed better than us."The Dutch (9-5) will host Cascia Hall on Tuesday. Holland Hall won 34-30 on Dec. 20 at Cascia."It's a rivalry game, they (his players) will be up for that," Maddux said. "The biggest thing is we've got to bounce back and definitely get two (SPC wins) next weekend."Edwards strikes again: Trystin Edwards sank two free throws with four seconds left to give host Kiefer a 40-39 win over Ripley in the Dave Calvert Tournament title game on Saturday. He also made a winning jumper against Ripley at the buzzer in last year's Calvert final. Kiefer is 14-2 and ranked No. 9 in Class 2A.Port City stars: Victory Christian's Chris Crawford was the Port City Classic MVP. Others on the all-tournament team were Victory's Keats Calhoon, Verdigris' Cade Upshaw and Caleb Jones, Cascia Hall's Bryce Carter and Catoosa's Trevor Delano. Crawford also was the Tournament of Champions MVP last month.Copyright: ___ (c)2014 Tulsa World (Tulsa, Okla.)
